Innovation Catalyst

ME-RIISE FOUNDATION, Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan, successfully conducted Innovation Catalyst, the evaluation of 15 shortlisted student projects under the NAIN 2.0 initiative of the IT-BT Department, Government of Karnataka.Student teams presented their innovative ideas before an expert jury panel for assessment based on innovation, feasibility, impact, and commercialization potential. The Top 10 projects will be selected for funding support under NAIN 2.0, with eligible teams receiving financial assistance of up to โน5 lakh per project for further development and validation.The event was graced by Mr. Manu Gowda, Program Manager, IIIT Bangalore, whose guidance enriched the evaluation process. The program was coordinated under the leadership of Dr. Geetha Kiran A., CEO, ME-RIISE FOUNDATION, reinforcing the institutionโs commitment to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup culture among students.
Institution Level Innovation Council (IIC) Meeting

The Institution Level Innovation Council Meeting for NAIN 2.0 Batch 2 was successfully conducted at MCE Hassan with the participation of mentors, faculty members, entrepreneurs, industry experts, and coordinators. Dr. Geetha Kiran A., College Coordinator, presented the achievements, activities, and fund utilization details of Batch 1, highlighting the successful completion of projects and the conduct of 20 innovation and entrepreneurship-related events. She also shared the achievements of Batch 1 projects at the NAIN Innovation held at IIIT Bangalore, where two projects emerged as winners. Discussions focused on the implementation of Batch 2 projects, startup opportunities, industry collaboration, and government support schemes to strengthen innovation and entrepreneurial activities among students.

The event brought together industry leaders, entrepreneurs, ecosystem enablers, and student innovators on a single platform to foster meaningful collaboration.The session focused on real-world problem discovery and collaborative solution building, enabling participants to ideate and co-create impactful, fundable solutions under NAIN 2.0.
